A small observation as to the limits of the legal system
Having found some law textbooks in a bin, my knowledge of criminal law is growing. As a result, I witness so many potential offences that it has become silly. Something about it makes me realise that it will forever remain below the realities and complexities of everyday life to the extent that it becomes relevant only rarely. Put in another way, one may think official reports of abuse are disgustingly high but the reality is much more serious and complex than a standard legal model can operate upon, and acknowledge, succesfully. Therefore, one must inquire why an inadequate institution is maintaned. However, that is a question for when the sun is up and i’ve not had a drink. X
Italian Cooking
Now, to live upto my ‘casual comedian’ claim, here is an awful joke; Two cooks in an Italian restaurant: ‘Whatza tomato wid you?’ ‘Olive me alone!’ ‘Well you can garlic meatballs then!’ End of joke.

“The ideas of the ruling class are in every epoch the ruling ideas: the class which is the material force of society is at the same time the ruling intellectual force.”
The police: the case against | libcom.org
“There is a commonly held assumption that the police are a necessary presence in a civilised society, one that ensures the preservation of social order. And yet this assumption is deeply ideological, blurring the distinction between the act of policing with the existence of an institutional police force. Polite Ire queries the supposed necessity of the police, asking how they gain their legitimacy and whether this is deserved.”
One for the Resistance?: Oppression, Anarchism and Alcohol (web) «
“Aside from my personal aversion to alcohol and the abuse thereof, I strongly feel that alcohol consumption – and production – is a highly political issue, which anarchists should not ignore. In this article I will attempt to explain why I feel it is that anarchists should consider starting a dialogue regarding the alcohol industry, the role of alcohol – and alcoholism – in capitalist society, its current effects on the poor and working classes, and its place in a future anarchist society. This is an issue that has been considered by anarchists in the past, but unfortunately does not seem to warrant much attention these days, and I’m uncomfortable to say that I think that many anarchists – as with other issues facing us – may be reluctant to admit that it is a problem for, or within, our movement.”

I just want to say something quickly. It’s something we all agree with in the band but a lot of bands in UK hardcore (I’m not talking about any band in particular by way) I’ve noticed that they feel morally obligated to point out social prejudice. They’ll say…
Privilege is a fine thing. Thanks to Em for the reply.
Merry Christmas everyone!!
